Abstract Submission

  1. Authors must submit their abstract through https://bandungcardiovascularupdate.com before 8th June 2024.
  2. This year’s theme for the free paper competition in Bandung Cardiovascular Update (BCU) 2024 is: Optimum Management of Cardiovascular Disease However, we accept all cardiovascular-related abstracts and all submitted abstracts will be categorized into “Case Report” and “Original Research (including Systematic review and meta analysis)”. Each category will be divided into an oral presentation, and a poster presentation.
  3. Submitted abstracts must be unpublished in any publication format before the submission.
  4. Abstracts must follow a certain format (see below). Unsuitable abstract will be returned to the author for editing before resubmitting.
  5. Accepted abstracts will be announced via authors’ email on 13th June 2024.
  6. All corresponding/presenting author(s) must be registered as participants of BCU 2023 before 15th June 2024.
  7. Further information will be given through the author’s email address should your abstract(s) be accepted.
  8. All categories will have the three best presentations. The winners will be announced on the Closing of BCU 2024 and will be granted the following prizes: a. Cash b. Certificate of Appreciation.
  9. The final decision of the chosen abstract presented on the poster and oral presentation will be the scientific committee’s authority
  10. The deadline for abstract submission is June 8, 2024.

Abstract Format

Abstract Submission

  1. The abstract is submitted in the format of A4 paper size, vertical layout in a pdf format, with a maximum size of 1 MB. The name of the document must be as follow: “Type of the study (Case Report/Original Research)_Title of the Study_Name of the corresponding/presenting author”
  2. Layout: Margin Normal (2.54 cm on all sides)
  3. Font:
    • Title: Times New Roman, Size: 14, 1.5 line spacing, Bold
    • Authors and Affiliation: Times New Roman, Size: 12, 1.15 line spacing
    • Abstract body and keywords: Times New Roman, Size 11, 1.0 line spacing
  4. The title must be precise and contain sufficient information regarding the study.
  5. Affiliation should be written as follow:
    • Initial of first and middle name, Last name , Initial of first and middle name, Last name

    • Affiliation (Department, Institution, City, Country) (Italic)

  7. The abstract is written in clear English (should be consistent with the British or American spelling format).
  8. The body of the abstract is as follows:

    • Original Research and Systematic Review: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion

    • Case report/series: Background, Case Description, Discussion, Conclusion

  9. Body of the abstract must consist of a maximum of 300 words for and original research and 200 words for case reports.

  10. Keywords must contain 3-5 words to help the committee classify the abstract. The keywords must follow Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) 2023 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/)

  11. Systematic review (included as original research) abstracts must provide a PRISMA figure on the second page of the abstract.

This session facilitate you to present your interesting cardiovascular cases with simple approach but intricate management from all corners of Indonesia, particularly the peripheral ones

  1. Authors must submit their abstract through https://bandungcardiovascularupdate.com before 21st June 2024.
  2. We accept all cardiovascular-related case report or case series.
  3. Submitted case must be unpublished in any publication format before the submission.
  4. Case must follow a certain format (see below).
  5. Accepted case will be announced via authors’ email on June 2024.
  6. Accepted cases will be presented orally at the BCU 2024 event.
  7. All corresponding/presenting author(s) must be registered as participants of BCU 2024 before 21st of June 2024.
  8. Further information will be given through the author’s email address should your case(s) be accepted.
  9. The winners will be announced on the Closing of BCU 2024 and will be granted the following prizes: a. Cash b. Certificate of Appreciation.
  10. The final decision of the chosen cases presented on oral presentation will be the committee’s authority.

Interctive Case Format

  1. The case is submitted in the power point format (.ppt/.pptx), power point template can be downloaded on BCU website in Download section.
  2. The case is written in English.
  3. The case consists of a maximum of 10 slides.
  4. Maximum duration of presentation is 10 minutes.
