ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Terms of Reference

  • This year’s theme for the free paper competition in BCU 2025 is “The Heart of the Matter: Advancements in Cardiovascular Treatment.” The topics of interest and format for BCU and InaPRevent abstracts are described below.
  • Authors must submit their abstract for BCU 2025 and/or InaPRevent 2025 separately through https://bandungcardiovascularupdate.com before 29th March 2025. Therefore, abstracts submitted to BCU and InaPRevent separately through aforementioned website will automatically enter their independent selection processes.
  • Abstracts must follow a specific format (see below). An unsuitable abstract will be returned to the author for editing before resubmitting.
  • Accepted abstracts will be announced through the authors’ email on 26th April 2025. Further information will be given through the authors’ email address should your abstract(s) be accepted.
  • Corresponding/presenting author(s) must be registered as BCU and InaPRevent 2025 participants before 19th April 2025.
  • All submitted abstracts will be categorized into “Case Report” and “Original Research (including Systematic review and meta-analysis).” In BCU 2025, all submitted abstract will be divided into an oral presentation, poster presentation, and E-poster. In InaPRevent 2025, all submitted abstracts will be divided into an oral presentation and E-poster only.
  • Abstracts submitted to InaPRevent 2025 that are not selected for oral presentation will automatically undergo a selection process for poster presentation at BCU 2025. Additionally, abstracts that are not accepted for either oral or poster presentations will be categorized as E-Posters.
  • Submitted abstracts must be unpublished in any publication format before the submission.
  • Oral presentations will have two best winners for each category (original research and case report). Whilst, the poster presentation will have three best winners for each category (original research and case report). Additionally, InaPRevent 2025 has “Special InaPRevent Award for Population-based Research, Initiative, and Innovation”. The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of BCU 2025 and InaPRevent 2025 and will be granted the following prizes: a). Cash b). Certificate of Appreciation.
  • The scientific committee will make the final decision on the chosen abstract for the poster and oral presentations.

Abstract Format

  1. The abstract is submitted in the format of A4 paper size, vertical layout in a pdf format, with a maximum size of 1 MB. The name of the document must be as follow: “Type of the study (Case Report/Original Research)_Title of the Study_Name of the corresponding/presenting author”
  2. Layout: Margin Normal (2.54 cm on all sides)
  3. Font:
    • Title: Times New Roman, Size: 14, 1.5 line spacing, Bold
    • Authors and Affiliation: Times New Roman, Size: 12, 1.15 line spacing
    • Abstract body and keywords: Times New Roman, Size 11, 1.0 line spacing
  4. The title must be precise and contain sufficient information regarding the study.
  5. Authors and Affiliation should be written as follow:
    • Initial of first and middle name, Last name, Initial of first and middle name, Last name
      Example:
      C. C. Amaludin1, A. A. Aminah2
    • Affiliation (Department, Institution, City, Country) (Italic)
      Example:

  6. The abstract is written in clear English (should be consistent with the British or American spelling format).
  7. The body of the abstract is as follows:
    • Original Research and Systematic Review: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion
    • Case report/series: Background, Case Description, Discussion, Conclusion
  8. Body of the abstract must consist of a maximum of 300 words for and original research and 200 words for case reports.
  9. Keywords must contain 3-5 words to help the committee classify the abstract. The keywords must follow Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) 2023 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/)
  10. Systematic review (included as original research) abstracts must provide a PRISMA figure on the second page of the abstract.
  11. The maximum number of figures and/or tables for each abstract is two.

Innovation / Initiative Project

  1. The topic of interest of Innovation / initiative project for InaPRevent 2025 is “Building a Heart-Healthy Community: Integrating Prevention and Rehabilitation for Cardiovascular Wellness.”
  2. The Innovation / Initiative project must be submitted to InaPRevent 2025 section via https://bandungcardiovascularupdate.com
  3. The Innovation / Initiative project is submitted in the A4 paper format, with a vertical layout in a pdf format, with a maximum size of 1 MB. The name of the document must be as follows: “Innovation_Project title_corresponding/presenting author”
  4. Layout: Margin Normal (2.54 cm on all sides)
  5. Font:
    • Title: Times New Roman, Size: 14, 1.5 line spacing, Bold –
    • Authors and Affiliation: Times New Roman, Size: 12, 1.15 line spacing –
